Ameristar Featured Sister Hazel at Star Pavilion on November 22, 2019

Iconic rock band Sister Hazel performed live in concert inside Star Pavilion at Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City on November 22, 2019. From the moment the lights dropped, the entire audience was steadfast on its feet. It was one of those shows that very much seemed like a cult following was in attendance, and the band absolutely tore the house down for its enamored fans. Sister Hazel continues to feature its original lineup since the band’s 1993 inception—Ken Block (vocals/acoustic guitar), Jett Beres (bass/harmonies), Andrew Copeland (rhythm guitar/vocals), Ryan Newell (guitar/harmonies) and Mark Trojanowski (drums)—plus featured touring member Dave LaGrande (keyboard/sax). The band played its greatest hits of the ’90s and even some newer stuff, including a sweet rendition of “This Kind of Love” with Andrew Copeland on the keyboard and Dave LaGrande on the saxophone and “Ten Candle Days” as written by bass player Jett Beres.
