Town Center Plaza Celebrates 25 Years with a Free Berlin Concert
Town Center Plaza in Leawood, KS is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary of business with a grand drive-in concert in the north lot. Headlining the evening’s musical festivities is none other than iconic LA-based electro-pop band Berlin with Terri Nunn. The group rose to fame in the early-’80s with tunes such as “The Metro,” “Sex (I’m A…)” and “No More Words,” but it was in 1986 with the international chart-topping song “Take My Breath Away” from the “Top Gun” motion picture soundtrack that it was cemented in pop culture history. That title won both a Golden Globe and Academy Award for “Best Original Song” in the same year. Nunn recently released new music with with the album “Transcendance” (2019) along with founding members John Crawford (bass) and David Diamond (keyboards).
