Country Music Legend TG Sheppard Performed Live at Ameristar Casino with Moore & Moore
Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City featured country music legend TG Sheppard live from the Star Pavilion stage on April 23, 2022. Returning to their hometown area to open the show for him were KC area twin sisters Debbie and Carrie Moore. Known as Moore & Moore, the duo grew up, went to school and graduated from Belton, MO just 27 miles away from the venue. They dazzled fans, family and friends with their own early-’90s tunes, as well as some classic country covers.
The same backing band played both sets for the night. So, after a quick mic swap, the country legend took his spot. TG Sheppard came out swinging too with the 1981 chart-topping hit “I Loved ‘Em Every One.” In fact, though, the night was smothered with No.1s on the country chart during the early-’80s. The Moore sisters joined him too for a joint performance of a song they recorded together, “So Far No Good.” Also on hand for the night was his wife Kelly Lang who joined him on stage for a duet of “Islands in the Stream” plus a solo performance of her own song, “I’m Not Going Anywhere.”
TG Sheppard shared some amazing stories from throughout his career, maybe most notably in regard to his friendship with the king himself, Elvis. After holding off for decades from singing about him, TG released a song just a few years ago entitled “I Wanna Live Like Elvis,” which he played toward the end of his set before capping off with the Folger’s jingle and a enthralling performance of “Party Time.”
