Modern English Returned to The recordBar with “After the Snow” Tour

British post-punk band Modern English performed live in concert at the recordBar in downtown Kansas City, MO on June 24, 2022. The summer tour celebrated the 40th anniversary of the “After the Snow” album, which features the international hit and staple song of the decade, “I Melt with You.” The group played the entire album plus a handful of additional popular new wave tunes. On stage were original members Robbie Grey (lead vocals), Michael Conroy (bass) and Stephen Walker (keyboards) plus Daniel Jakubovic (guitar) filling in for Gary McDowell and newcomer Ric Chandler (drums).
