Mammoth Hosts The Totally Tubular Festival at Uptown Theater in KCMO

A new concert tour entitled the Totally Tubular Festival is taking the country by storm this summer featuring a plethora of new wave, post-punk, synth-pop and alternative rock artists and bands from our favorite decade. Super excitingly, Kansas City was a late addition to the already slated 22-date routing when the tour announced a show at Grinder’s in the Crossroads set for July 7, 2024. Foreseeing possible rain in the forecast, the concert was moved that week to the ever-nostalgic Uptown Theater. Each night on the trek can feature a slightly different lineup. On this magnificent evening, KC fans were blessed to see Thomas Dolby, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Men Without Hats and Eddie Muñoz of The Plimsouls perform their quintessential hits of the 1980s.

Eddie Muñoz of The Plimsouls Setlist:

“Zero Hour,” “I’ll Get Lucky,” “Oldest Story in the World,” I Want What You Got,” “Now” and “A Million Miles Away”

Men Without Hats Setlist:

“The Safety Dance,” “Moonbeam,” “Antarctica,” “SOS” (ABBA), “Pop Goes the World” and “The Safety Dance (Extended ‘Club Mix’)”

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey Setlist:

“Love on Your Side,” “The Gap,” “Lay Your Hands on Me,” “If You Were Here,” “King for a Day,” “You Take Me Up,” “Lies,” “Psycho Killer,” “Doctor! Doctor!” and “Hold Me Now”
