80s Concerts in Kansas City | Legendary Rock Band Night Ranger Performs Live at Old Shawnee Days
Every year, Old Shawnee Days kicks off the summer season for thousands of families with a carnival and parade, special attractions and an assortment of live music concerts featuring local, regional and national artists. Almost 100,000 people attend annually, and this year patrons will be treated to the quintessential sounds of legendary rock band Night Ranger. A staple of the 1980s, the group is beloved for its highly energetic live performances and classic tunes such as “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me,” “Rock in America,” “When You Close Your Eyes,” the motion picture soundtrack song “The Secret of My Success” and that epitomical power ballad “Sister Christian.” Fans can even expect to hear Night Ranger play the hit singles “High Enough” and “Coming of Age” from lead singer Jack Blades’ time with the Damn Yankees rock supergroup.
