Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour Coming to the Sprint Center
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers embarked on its 40th anniversary tour this past April and is set to celebrate with Kansas City fans when the group returns to the Sprint Center—for the first time since 2010—this Friday evening with rock musician and former Eagles constituent Joe Walsh. After four decades, the heartland blues rock band still consists of a very classic lineup featuring original members Petty (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Mike Campbell (lead guitar), Ron Blair (bass/backing vocals) and Benmont Tench (keyboards/backing vocals) plus Scott Thurston (rhythm/lead guitar/backing vocals) and Steve Ferrone (drums/percussion) who have played in the band since the early- and mid-’90s. Catch all the hits, including the ’80s tunes “Refugee,” “The Waiting,” “Don’t Come Around Here No More,” “I Won’t Back Down” and “Free Fallin’.” Check out the full setlist:
