Jazz Musician Hebie Hancock Performs Live Inside Muriel Kauffman Theatre
Renown jazz musician Herbie Hancock is set to perform live at Muriel Kauffman Theatre inside of Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts this Saturday evening, August 12. Even after six decades, the iconic pianist and composer remains at the forefront of the music industry. He has always served as an integral part of the groundbreaking sounds in the genre from his work in the ’60s with the Miles Davis Quintet to his combination of electronic jazz, funk and rock in the ’70s to his electronic dance sounds of the ’80s as exhibited in songs like “Rockit” and “Future Shock.” Just last year he was honored by receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and even today he continues to record and his work throughout his career continues to influence contemporary music.
Tickets for the Herbie Hancock performance at Muriel Kauffman Theatre cost $54.50 to $159.50 and are available online via the venue website, in person at the box office or by calling 816-994-7222.
