Ameristar Casino’s Star Pavilion Presented Sha Na Na Live in Concert on June 21, 2019
Rock and roll doo-wop group Sha Na Na performed live in concert at Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City’s Star Pavilion on June 21, 2019. Having formed in 1969, the outfit revives the 1950s New York street culture through a song and dance routine covering many of the decade’s greatest hits. After breaking through at Woostock, it went on to host the “Sha Na Na” syndicated variety series between 1977 and 1981. Founding members Donny York and Jocko Marcellino continue to lead the group along with long-time member and Kansas City native Screamin’ Scott Simon who, unfortunately, was missing for this concert due to a foot injury.
