Michael & Kevin Bacon to Perform Live at Folly Theater in Downtown KC

Country and folk rock duo The Bacon Brothers—Michael and Kevin Bacon—is set to perform live in concert at Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, MO on Tuesday, October 8. Dubbed “The Shaky Ground” tour, the outing is presented by Knuckleheads Saloon and follows the release of their eponymous record and its new single “Play.”

Although having played since they were youngsters, the brothers started recording and touring together in 1995. Backed by the same band members since the formation, the two take on vocals and guitar while Michael also plays cello and Kevin performs on percussion. The extraordinary cast joining them on stage includes Paul Guzzone (bass), Joe Mennonna (keyboard/sax/accordion), Frank Vilardi (drums) and Tim Quick (guitar)

Both share acclaimed Hollywood fame, Michael as an Emmy Award-winning composer and Kevin an award-winning actor having starred such films as “Footloose,” “Tremors,” “White Water Summer,” “Apollo 13” and “Mystic River.” Once they take the stage though, they are all about delivering and entertaining with their unprecedented flavor of rock. That notoriety has never for a moment detoured them from a fierce drive and devotion to producing music.

The Bacon Brothers came to town last year with an absolutely captivating performance at VooDoo Lounge inside of Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino & Hotel on July 14, 2018. The spirited night was filled with pure musicianship and drew a packed house consisting of both hardcore followers and brand new enamored fanatics. Tickets for The Bacon Brothers concert at Folly Theater cost between $35.00 and $55.00 and are available online via the venue website and in person at the box office on Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm. Folly Theater is located at 300 W. 12th St., Kansas City, MO 64105. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
