America Set to Perform Live at Star Pavilion Inside Ameristar Casino

Folk rock band America is set to perform live at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO on Saturday, October 7. As sons of U.S. Air Force personnel stationed in London, the trio of Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek and Gerry Beckley joined in 1970 shortly out of high school and topped the chart with their very first single, “A Horse With No Name” (1972). They would go on to release eleven Top 40 hits throughout the ’70s and ’80s, including another chart topper in “Sister Golden Hair” (1975). Peek left the band in 1977 (and sadly since passed away in 2011), but Bunnell and Beckley continue to carry on the band’s legacy still today. Joining them on bass since 2003 is Richard Campbell who played and sang with Natalie Cole and Three Dog Night during the 1980s. Hear those staple No. 1 songs in concert along with other major hits, including “Tin Man,” “You Can Do Magic,” “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway” and “Lonely People” when the band comes to Ameristar Casino.

Tickets for the America live show at Star Pavilion cost $40.00 to $55.00 and are available online via Ticketmaster, at the venue box office or by calling 816-414-7000. Star Pavilion is located inside of Ameristar Casino Hotel at 3200 Ameristar Drive, Kansas City, MO 64161. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:30pm.
