Downtown KC’s The Truman Hosted Jenny Lewis Live on Her “Joy’all” Tour
Beloved ’80s actress and indie rock icon Jenny Lewis returned to The Truman in downtown Kansas City, MO for a live concert performance on March 5, 2024 as a part of her “Joy’all” tour. The child star got her start in 1983 in a commercial for Jell-O and has acted in several other ads, TV shows and movies throughout her life, including “Troop Beverly Hills” (1989), “The Wizard” (1989) and “Big Girls Don’t Cry… They Get Even” (1992). As a folk singer-songwriter and musician, she launched her music career in 1998. She played her acoustic guitar and even hopped on the piano for a handful of songs. Joining her on stage was a 4-piece touring band.
