Jenny Lewis Announces 2018 Summer Tour and Comes to The Truman
Singer-songwriter, musician and actress Jenny Lewis announced tour dates for the 2018 summer season. The indie rock and folk artist kicks off her trek on June 11 at Basement East in Nashville, TN and comes to The Truman in Kansas City, MO on July 10. Lewis launched her music career in 1998 with the band Rilo Kiley and has performed in The Postal Service, as a duo in Jenny & Johnny and is currently with the trio Nice As Fuck. She has also released three solo albums since 2006 and collaborated with artists such as Beck and Elvis Costello. However, her acting career stems clear back to 1983 when she debuted in a Jell-O commercial. Lewis has appeared in numerous commercials, TV shows and films since her childhood and continues to act still today. Some early notable movie roles include playing Hannah in “Troop Beverly Hills” (1989), Haley in “The Wizard” (1989) and Corinne in “Big Girls Don’t Cry… They Get Even” (1992).
