Ameristar Casino Played Host to John Waite Once Again at Star Pavilion
Rock legend John Waite made an exciting return to Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO for a live concert performance on March 8, 2025. It was a little more than a year since he appeared on stage there for the 40th anniversary celebration of his solo hit single “Missing You.” The setlist included a load of on solo tunes and those from his days fronting The Babys and Bad English in the late-’70s and late-’80s. It was slightly different than his last visit, this time including “In Dreams” from the soundtrack of “True Romance” (1993) plus newer tunes “If You Ever Get Lonely” and “Better Off Gone.” His backing band again featured Alan Childs (drums) and Tim Hogan (bass), as well as newcomer Kyle Cook (guitar) of Matchbox Twenty.
