Original YES Frontman Jon Anderson to Perform Live at CrossroadsKC
***UPDATE: This concert event is CANCELLED!***
YES founding member and original lead vocalist Jon Anderson is set to perform live in concert at CrossroadsKC in Kansas City, MO on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in support of his recently released album “1000 Hands.”
Anderson first began producing the record nearly 30 years ago with then bandmates of the pioneering English progressive rock band, Alan White and Chris Squire. Originally named “Uzlot,” he changed its title to reflect all of the talented musicians who played a part in its making. Such artists include YES guitarist Steve Howe, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Jonathan Cain of Journey, Rick Derringer, Billy Cobham, Jean-Luc Ponty, Steve Morse, Chick Corea and the horns from Tower of Power.
With YES feat. ARW taking off this year (Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman), Anderson is hitting the road to promote his brand new release. Joining him on his solo outing are Tommy Carlton (guitar), Tim Franklin (bass), Michael Franklin (keyboard), Antonio Esposito (keyboard), Chris Charles (sax), Matt Brown (drums) and Jocelyn Hsu (percussion). The set will include a handful of classic YES songs along with some of those fresh singles.
