Kool & the Gang Performing in Concert at Kansas City Live! Block
Funk and R&B icon Kool & the Gang performs at Kansas City Live! Block at the Power & Light District on Friday, August 25—a thrilling installment of the District Rhythms concert series. The band brought the most dance-filled concert of the summer to the city last summer as a part of the Funk Fest Celebration at Starlight Theatre, and is certain to have the all of KC Live! grooving all night long. Juke and jive with Kool & the Gang as the group delivers all of those quintessential hits of the ’80s, including “Fresh,” “Too Hot,” “Joanna,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Cherish,” “Ladies’ Night,” “Get Down on It” and “Celebration.” Tickets for the events cost $20 for general admission and $50 for VIP terrace, and are available online via Ticketfly. Gates open at 6pm and shows starts at 8pm. All ages are welcome for this event and families are encouraged. Youth younger than 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Only 21+ allowed after 9pm.
