LRB Performed Live in Concert with Brewer & Shipley at Uptown Theater in Kansas City on November 9, 2018
Legendary rock group Little River Band performed live in concert at Uptown Theater in Kansas City, MO on November 9, 2018. Joining LRB on this particular show date was the city’s very own Brewer & Shipley. Fresh off their 50th anniversary tour, the folk rock duo shared those socially conscious tunes so indicative of their era, such as “One Toke Over the Line,” “Shake Off the Demon,” “Song from Platte River” and “Witchi-Tai-To.” LRB lit up the stage next with the incomparable harmonies that found the band its international success throughout the years. Fronted by bass guitarist and KC native Wayne Nelson, LRB is hotter than ever and a staple on the Kansas City concert scene. It was the group’s second show of the year in the area, having played at Ameristar Casino’s Star Pavilion back on May 4. Nelson and the crew dazzled the crowd with some of its newer tunes alongside the lifelong classics.
