Morris Day and The Time Bringing the Funk Back to Kansas City

Iconic R&B group Morris Day and The Time is set to return for the second summer in a row as it comes to VooDoo Lounge inside Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino & Hotel on Friday, August 11. If you caught the band as a part of the Funk Fest Celebration last year, then you know that this evening will be absolutely electrifying. Now here is your chance to hear the the classics up close in an intimate setting. Groove along to those quintessential dance tunes like “Get It Up,” “Cool,” “The Walk,” “Gigolos Get Lonely Too” and “Ice Cream Castles” plus “Jungle Love” and “The Bird” as made indelibly famous by the “Purple Rain” (1984) motion picture soundtrack. Tickets for the Morris Day and The Time show at the VooDoo Lounge on August 11 cost $41.50 for general admission or $68.90 to $78.50 for reserved seating, and are available online via Ticketmaster.
