Island Entertainment presents the ultimate New Year’s Eve weekend celebration live at Municipal Auditorium with legendary soul artists The Isley Brothers, The Whispers and Glenn Jones on December 30. Hosting the night is actor and comedian Joe Torry with spinning on the turntable provided by DJ Foots. The stellar line-up comprises some of the greatest R&B hits of the past 60 plus years. Hear songs such as “That Lady,” “Groove With You,” “Shout, “Twist & Shout” and “Between the Sheets” from The Isley Brothers, “(Let’s Go) All the Way,” “And the Beat Goes On,” “Lady” and “Rock Steady” from The Whispers and “Giving Myself to You,” “Show Me” and “Here I Go Again” from Glenn Jones.
Tickets for New Year’s Eve Weekend Soul Fest cost between $40.00 and $131.00 and are available online via Ticketmaster and in person at the Kansas City Music Hall box office. Municipal Auditorium is located at 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, MO 64105. Doors open at 6pm, shows start at 7pm.
