Ameristar Casino Presented Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on Its Farewell Tour

Country rock group Nitty Gritty Dirt Band performed live in concert at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO on March 22, 2025 as a part of its farewell tour. Featuring founding members Jeff Hanna (lead vocals) and Jimmie Fadden (drums) plus classic member Bob Carpenter (keyboard), the band shared a plethora of classic hits with a nearly sold out crowd. Joining them on stage again were Jim Photolog (bass), Jamie Hanna (guitar) and Ross Holmes (fiddle). The setlist included ’80s tunes such as “The Long Hard Road (The Sharecropper’s Dream),” “Modern Day Romance,” “Fishin’ in the Dark” and “Workin’ Man (Nowhere to Go).”
