The Oak Ridge Boys Appeared Live at Ameristar Casino in Kansas City
Legendary country and Southern gospel music quartet The Oak Ridge Boys appeared live in concert at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO on September 24, 2021. On stage were classic members William Lee Golden (baritone), Duane Allen (lead), Richard Sterban (bass) and Joe Bonsall (tenor) who have performed together for nearly 50 years. Additionally, keyboard player Ron Fairchild has played with the group for 41 years. The set featured several of the chart-topping country hits from the 1980s, including “Everyday” and “American Made” along with a handful of newer tunes. Bonsall even tossed in some alternate lyrics to “American Beauty” as a node to Kansas City baseball and football. Additionally, five songs off of their new album “Front Porch Singin'” released this past summer were played before ending the show with those renown hits, “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue.”
