The Ozark Mountain Daredevils Close Out 2023 at Ameristar Casino

Southern and country rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils returned to Ameristar Casino‘s Star Pavilion in Kansas City, MO for a live concert on on November 8, 2024. It was once again the group’s last performance of the year as we enter the holiday season. Heralding from Springfield, MO, it remains a staple in the area five decades later. The band formed in 1972 and still features founding members John Dillon (vocals / guitar / multi) and Mike “Supe” Granda (vocals / bass / multi). Joining them on stage were classic members Bill Jones (woodwinds / horns), Ruell Chappell (percussion) and Ron “Rongo” Gremp (drums) plus Dave Painter (lead guitar), Kelly Brown (keyboards), Nick Sibley (rhythm guitar) and Molly Healey (violin). They featured several classics in the setlist, including the much beloved tunes “If You Wanna Get to Heaven” and “Jackie Blue.”
