80s Concerts in Kansas City | Pixies at Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland

Boston-based alternative rock band Pixies announced a second leg to its North American tour with its first leg already more than halfway sold out. The 5-week extension begins at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut on September 19 and is scheduled to come to Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland in Kansas City, Missouri on October 15. The group first formed in 1986 and had a couple of hits from its second album “Doolittle” (1989) on the Modern Rock Tracks Chart—”Monkey Gone to Heaven” (No. 5) and “Here Comes Your Man” (No. 3)—plus more into the early ’90s.
