Prairie Band Casino Presented The Righteous Brothers Live in Concert
Legendary singer Bill Medley took his Righteous Brothers show with Bucky Heard to Prairie Band Casino in Mayetta, KS on June 29, 2023. A host of talented musicians started playing first as the duo started singing behind the curtain. The crowd erupted as they took to the stage and was lively throughout the entire night. Medley and Heard treated fans to all of those emblematic tunes that The Righteous Brothers gave us throughout the ’60s and ’70s. They even paid great tribute to Bobby Hatfield as well, who was Medley’s original counterpart. In 1987, Bill Medley released an ever-iconic duet with Jennifer Warnes, “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” from the motion picture soundtrack of “Dirty Dancing”—a huge staple film of the decade. Fans were over the moon as he shared it live with Stephanie Calvert, the former co-lead singer of Starship who was filling in for Medley’s daughter. Also appearing on stage wit Tim Lee (keyboards), Jess Gopen (drums), Russ Letizia (guitar), Aja Wilson (bass), Mark Tragesser (tenor sax) and Andy Ray (trumpet).
