KC Bands Shooting Star & Missouri Will Perform at Kearney Amphitheater
Kansas City’s very own legendary rock bands, Shooting Star and Missouri, are set to join forces once again for an unforgettable night at Kearney Amphitheater on July 23, 2022. Part of the venue’s 15th season of live music, movies and theater at Jesse James Park, the two groups are the highlight of the series.
Gather the family and take a trip out to hear all of the classics and some of the new songs too, including “Touch Me Tonight,” “Hollywood” and “You’ve Got What I Need” from Shooting Star and “Movin’ On,” “Goin’ Home” and “Sunshine Girl” from Missouri. Shooting Star features founding member Steve Thomas (drums) and classic member Dennis Laffoon (keyboards) alongside Janet Jameson (violin), Todd Pettygrove (lead vocals) and Chet Galloway (guitar) while Missouri features founding members Bill Larson (drums) and Lane Turner (guitar) with Dean “Deano” Foltz (bass), Rusty Crewse (guitar) and newcomer Stephen Campbell (lead vocals).
Tickets for Shooting Star and Missouri live in concert cost $20.00 for general admission and are available online via the venue website. Kearney Amp is located 25 minutes north of downtown off of I-35 at 3001 MO-33, Kearney, MO 64060. Gates open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended.
