Canadian Rock Band The Guess Who Performed Live at Ameristar Casino in Kansas City on November 20, 2021
Classic Canadian rock group The Guess Who performed live in concert at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO on November 20, 2021. The band continues to feature founding member Garry Peterson (drums), classic member Leonard Shaw (keyboards/saxophone/flute), Derek Sharp (lead vocals)—now its longest reigning frontman—plus newcomers Michael Staertow (lead guitar) and Michael Devin (bass guitar) formerly of the Lou Gramm band and Whitesnake respectively. The night was one for the record books at Ameristar, which saw an absolutely packed house clear to the last row of the raised seating. Joyously rowdy fans reveled in all the ’60s and ’70s hits that defined their era, such as “Shakin’ All Over,” “These Eyes,” “No Time,” “American Woman” and “Share the Land.” The crowd even flooded the stagefront following the encore as no one was ready to go home.
