The Oak Ridge Boys Returned to Star Pavilion with Rudy Gatlin
Legendary country and Southern gospel music quartet The Oak Ridge Boys returned to Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO for a live concert on July 15, 2022. A staple at the venue, the group last performed there less than a year prior. This time, however, on stage were classic members William Lee Golden (baritone), Duane Allen (lead) and Richard Sterban (bass) with Rudy Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers filling in for Joe Bonsall (tenor). Bonsall was recovering from a pulmonary embolism, but was set to sing again soon. The set again featured several of the chart-topping country hits from the 1980s, including “Everyday,” “American Made,” “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue.”
