Todd Rundgren Performed Live in Concert at CrossroadsKC in Kansas City on September 22, 2018
Pioneering rock artist and record producer Todd Rundgren returned to Kansas City with a live performance at CrossroadsKC at Grinders on September 22, 2018. The 2018 solo tour entitled “An Unpredictable Evening with Todd Rundgren” was hot off the heels of an extensive Utopia reunion and featured an entirely seated set. It was “unpredictable” because every night on the trek was a different, a Todd Rundgren show that nobody else has or will ever see again. The legendary rocker played not only songs from Utopia and his solo career, but also several covers and even many one-hit wonders that fans would not be able to hear live by the original artists. It was a magnificent evening of pure musical talent and an incredibly intimate performance that saw more fans packed into the VIP section than general admission. Backing Rundgren were his usual star-studded band members, including Kasim Sulton (bass guitar; Utopia), Jesse Gress (guitar), Greg Hawkes (keyboards; The Cars) and Prairie Prince (drums; The Tubes).
