Todd Rundgren Launches a Digital Concert Tour Set to Air in Kansas City
Masterful legend of rock Todd Rundgren launched a live virtual concert tour on February 14 and is scheduled to broadcast in the Kansas City market on March 3. Entitled the “Clearly Human” tour, Rundgren will perform his “Nearly Human” (1989) album in its entirety for the first time in 31 years along with other hits and favorites from throughout his career. The live geo-fenced concert series will air in 25 cities across the United States, but physically will all take place in Chicago. Rundgren teamed with the new livestreaming concert service known as NoCap to blast his performances out to thousands upon thousands of fans. Although the concept lends itself well to the situation presented by the pandemic, it actually fulfills a genius idea he has contemplated for years. Rundgren said that he and the band will “self-hypnotize” to get into the spirit of a traditional live performance.
Tickets for the Todd Rundgren virtual concert showing in the Kansas City area cost $35. Fans can also choose add-ons for an additional charge, including an online meet-and-greet, live audience, multi-camera viewing and tour merchandise. A very limited number of socially-distanced in-person tickets are also available for this event. The music begins at 8pm CST.
