80s Concerts in Kansas City | Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers & Joe Walsh at Sprint Center
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers announced an extensive North American tour kicking off this coming spring in celebration of its 40th anniversary. After all that time, the heartland blues rock band still consists of a very classic lineup with original members Petty (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Mike Campbell (lead guitar), Ron Blair (bass/backing vocals) and Benmont Tench (keyboards/backing vocals) plus Scott Thurston (rhythm/lead guitar/backing vocals) and Steve Ferrone (drums/percussion) who have played in the group since the early- and mid-’90s. Catch all of the hits, including “Don’t Do Me Like That,” “Refugee,” “The Waiting,” “I Won’t Back Down” and “Free Fallin'” when the group makes a stop at Sprint Center in Kansas City on June 2 featuring rock musician and former Eagles member Joe Walsh as the opening act. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, December 16 at 10am and are available online via AXS, in person at the venue box office or by calling 888-929-7849.
