Legendary rock band Toto brought its “40 Trips Around the Sun” tour to CrossroadsKC at Grinders for a live concert performance on August 21, 2018. With shoulder-to-shoulder fans from the stage front clear back to Grinders, the group ran onlookers through its greatest songs, as well as some rarely played throughout its career. Mid-set even consisted of a string of seated acoustic tunes that each member selected. On stage were founding members Steve Lukather (guitar/vocals) and Steve Porcaro (keywords), classic member Joseph Williams (lead vocals) and touring members Lenny Castro (drums) Warren Ham (saxophone/vocals), Shannon Forest (drums), Shem Von Schroeck (bass guitar) and Dominique “Xavier” Taplin (keyboards).
