Travis Tritt Performed at Ameristar Casino in Kansas City on April 27, 2018
Country music superstar Travis Tritt performed live at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City on April 27, 2018, thrilling the sold out crowd with his personal flavor of the genre featuring a perfect mix of electric and acoustic sounds.
A product of the late-’80s, Tritt first made a splash with the hit tune “Country Club” and continued his star-studded career through the ’90s—today still full steam ahead. Along with his 6-man band—Wendell Cox (guitar), Mike Daly (steel guitar), Jimmy Fullbright (bass guitar), Brian Arrowood (fiddle, acoustic guitar and mandolin), Jared Decker (keyboards) and LeJoe Young (drums)—Tritt juked and jived across the stage as he played hit after hit, sending fans into a frenzy.
Mid-set, Tritt slowed it down to treat the audience to some solo acoustic tunes. He even played a handful of covers throughout the night, honoring Hank Williams, Jr. and the dearly departed Waylon Jennings. As the evening grew later, the crowd grew livelier as well, with fans dancing in the aisles and charging toward the stage. The consummate musician and entertainer is certainly beloved within the music industry, but there is absolutely an extra special spot for him in the heart of Kansas City.
